Interior design isn’t typically about starting from scratch. Often, clients have a budget that limits what you can do. In other situations, like this one, the client collected art and we wanted to include it in a thoughtful way.
To feature their art work, we kept white walls throughout most of the public space. They were comfortable with a pop of color so we added an orange, Italian wool for the sofa, and included various colorful throw pillows and rugs throughout. In the dining room, we installed a stark white, twig chandelier. They loved the touch of “nature” that offered a softness to the hard lines and angles.
The family room was long and narrow with a 72” TV so an elongated leather sectional was the perfect choice for a family of seven and two dogs.
